‘Justice League Dark’ and ‘Overlook’ Ordered by HBO Max

Deadline is reporting that HBO Max has greenlighted three series from J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions, two of which being in the horror genre. These projects include Justice League Dark, Overlook, and Duster which follows a getaway driver that works for a crime syndicate.

While not many details were revealed on the projects, as many comic fans know, Justice League Dark includes characters such as John Constantine, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Frankenstein, Man-Bat and Andrew Bennett. The comic book series was created by Peter Milligan and first appeared in the September 2011 issue of Justice League Dark #1.

Overlook is said to be based on and feature characters from Stephen King’s classic The Shining. According to the source Dustin Thomason and Scott Brown are in negotiations to write the series which is said to explore the untold terrifying stories of the haunted hotel.

Stay tuned to Horror News Network for the latest on these projects.
