ICG Awards to Honor Ryan Murphy as Television Showman of the Year

Ryan Murphy will be honored at the 54th Annual International Cinematographers Guild Publicists Awards as Television Showman of the Year. The ceremony will take place on February 24th, 2017 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Murphy is being honored after a particularly busy and productive year, working as a showrunner on American Horror StoryScream Queens, and the phenomenal American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson. ICG President, Steven Poster, had this to say to Hollywood Reporter:

“Ryan is up there with a select few who have been able to bring such high consistency to everything they touch.”

Obviously, Poster has not yet seen the second half of American Horror Story: My Roanoke Nightmare. Stay tuned to Horror News Network for news on Murphy’s upcoming projects as it breaks.

John has loved movie monsters for as far back as he can remember. He’s since collected up as many comics, statues, and autographed material related to movies and music that he can get his hands on. He is particularly interested in the critical and analytical discussion of the best stories the horror genre has to offer. One of his largest works on the topic is a study on the portrayals of people with disabilities in horror films.
