Hudson Horror 666 coverage

A capacity crowd of horror film junkies packed the Silver Cinemas South Hills 8 theaters in Poughkeepsie, NY on Saturday December 1st for the sixth installment of the Hudson Horror Show film festival. And just like the previous five installments, Hudson Horror 666 did not disappoint. Horror-files were treated to classics The Devil's Rain, Switchblade Sisters, Phantasm II, cult classic Re-Animator and the 30th anniversary viewing of Conan the Barbarian. Judging by the buzz from the crowd, the big winner was the under-appreciated 1974 slasher flick Black Christmas (credited by some as being the original slasher movie), which seemingly stole the show. There were plenty of vendors selling everything from DVDs to toys to original artwork and novels to keep the fans busy this Christmas season. All in all, Hudson Horror 666 was a huge success, for both movie-goers and organizers. Staff members Larry Dwyer and Sean McLaughlin were there covering the event for Horror News Network, as HNN continues it's relationship with this popular horror film festival.
