‘The House That Jack Built’ Trailer Showcases a Deranged Serial Killer

Is The House That Jack Built the new American Psycho? Judge for yourself as Zentropa Productions revealed the official trailer for The House that Jack Built, a film about a serial killer starring Matt Dillon as the lead character Jack.

The story line follows Jack over a span of 12 years as we get to see his descent into madness. Comparing his killings to artwork Jack strives for what would be his ultimate masterpiece. The trailer, which is just over two and a half minutes, shows an unhinged Jack stalking, scaring and punishing his victims. In one scene a broken down motorist, played by Uma Thurman gets picked up by the serial killer and is struck with a car jack in the face.

The film stars Matt Dillon, Bruno Ganz, Uma Thurman, Riley Keough, and David Bailie. Lars von Trier wrote and directed the pic based on a story by Jenle Hallund.
