‘Halloween: The Complete Collection Deluxe Edition’ Review

Much to the delight of Halloween fans, the “Halloween: The Complete Collection” has finally arrived courtesy of Anchor Bay Entertainment and Scream Factory.  I, personally, can’t recall a horror release being as highly anticipated as this set.  So, is it worth the price? Read on to find out.

Let’s start off with the packaging of the product:
Nothing says the month of October quite like the slip case. The case itself seems sturdier than most, which is a huge plus.  The artwork on the case is nothing short of breathtaking.   Each disk is packaged separately with a black BluRay heading. The artwork on the disks themselves are not a disappointment either as they have high quality graphics from the films.

On to the disks:
The Deluxe Edition boasts 15 discs and contains all the Halloween feature films – Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween III: Season of the Witch, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, Halloween H20, Halloween: Resurrection, Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween II.  The set includes the never before released producers cut of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, as well as the ultra-rare network TV version of the original Halloween, the network TV version of Halloween II,  plus the unrated versions of Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween II.

The films themselves are the high-quality that you would expect from Anchor Bay and Scream Factory. Halloween fans will certainly be excited by the vibrant colors and quality of their favorite films.

The Extras:
The special features and extras in this collection are outstanding. We are talking about HOURS of extra features which include interviews and more.

Without a doubt this collection is a must have for fan’s of the Halloween series. Never before has there been a collection so well put together for the Halloween FANS. So to answer the question above, yes THIS IS DEFINITELY WORTH the hardcore Halloween fan’s price of admission. Halloween: The Complete Collection is packed with not only the familiar and beloved films of the franchise, but also hours of gems never before seen.

Happy Halloween!
