‘Halloween Kills’ Soundtrack Will Haunt Fans In October

John Carpenter’s indelible mark on the Halloween franchise lives on–most recently with his powerful score for Halloween Kills.

The soundtrack for the latest chapter in the iconic horror series will release Oct. 15–the same day the film debuts in theaters–and the first pulse-pounding selection from that album is now available on this page. You can almost see the frightening figure of Michael Myers as you listen to the menacing music.

The track–Unkillable–is from the album by Carpenter, Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies from Sacred Bones Records, as reported by revolvermag.com.

The music, as described, is “unmistakably Carpenter–the sinister synth tones, the breath-stealing sense of menace conjured with just a few dissonant tones.” Carpenter uses “a broader sonic palette, new digital techniques and a deeper sense of musicality to push his creative limits and find new ways to thrill and terrify.”

Halloween Kills–from director David Gordon Green from a screenplay he wrote with Scott Teems and Danny McBride–picks up after the horrifying events of 2018’s Halloween, as Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) inspires Haddonfield to rise up against the seemingly “unkillable” Myers.

The R-rated Universal Pictures film also stars Judy Greer as Laurie’s daughter Karen, Andi Matichak as her granddaughter Allyson and Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney as the “unstoppable monster”.
