Goran Visnjic to Play Dracula in ‘The Brides’

Deadline has a report that Goran Visnjic is set to star as Count Dracula in ABC’s Brides of Dracula series. He joins Gina Torres, Katherine Reis, Sophia Tatum and Chris Mason. The series is written by Roberto Aquirre-Sacasa and is directed by Maggie Kiley.

The Croatian-born actor has become a familiar face on the screen appearing in movies and television shows such as Santa Clarita Diet, This is Us, Timeless, Crossing Lines, Extant, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Deep. His stand-out role was playing Dr. Luka Kovac on ER.

The series was originally developed at NBC way back in 2015 gained new life as it rose from the dead at ABC this year. The series is described as:
A vampire soap about empowered, immortal women and the things they do to maintain wealth, prestige, legacy-and their non-traditional family.
