Get Ready to Travel Over the Rainbow in New ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ Trailer

Set to a haunting instrumental version of  the song Judy Garland made famous way back in 1939 in The Wizard of Oz, the latest trailer for the upcoming Godzilla sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, is guaranteed to send kaiju fans “Over the Rainbow”.

The brief clip jams more monsters than you can shake a stick at in the exactly one minute long teaser, giving viewers generous shots of Rodan, Mothra, Ghidorah, and of course, the biggest star in Hollywood, Godzilla.

The film is directed by Michael Dougherty (Trick ‘r Treat, Krampus) and stars Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel, The Conjuring), Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Bradley Whitford (Get Out); Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), Kyle Chandler (The Wolf of Wall Street), and O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton).  Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins (who appeared in Gareth Edwards franchise starter in 2014) will also return to the film, reprising their roles from the previous monster mash.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters will be released on May 31.
