From ‘Scream’ To ‘Reunion’ For Radio Silence Gang

There’s no resting on their laurels for the filmmaking trio that is Radio Silence.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villella (aka Radio Silence) are fresh off wrapping the highly anticipated new Scream thriller for Spyglass Media and Paramount Pictures, and are already hard at work on their next horror feature–Reunionas reported by Deadline.

The three gentlemen will direct and produce the film, with the screenplay coming from Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy. In Reunion, as explained, the “horrific experience of high school reunions is taken to a new extreme when a group of uninspired friends become the only hope for survival against a shape-shifting creature.” Not your grandfather’s class reunion.

William Sherak, James Vanberbilt and Paul Neinstein (Scream) and Tripp Vinson (Ready or NotThe Exorcism of Emily Rose) also are on board as producers. Tara Farney will serve as executive producer.

In other genre efforts, Radio Silence brought 2019’s Ready or Not to life for Fox Searchlight Pictures. The horror/comedy–starring Samara Weaving, Mark O’Brien and Andie MacDowell–follows a newlywed who is hunted by her spouse’s evil family as part of their wedding night ritual for Satan. The film–which received positive reviews–grossed $57 million on a $6-million budget.

The group also worked on 2012’s anthology horror film V/H/S and 2014’s psychological supernatural horror movie Devil’s Due for 20th Century Studios.

No details on casting, production or a tentative release date for Reunion have been announced at this early juncture.
