Danzig’s Blackest of the Black Festival Brings Some Springtime Horror to Southern California

It would seem that Southern California is getting a bit of Halloween in May this year at the “Blackest of the Black” festival. Glen Danzig is bringing his vision of darkness to Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, California over Memorial Day weekend. While this location may sound remote, it’s next to Irvine Lake and right around the corner from the City of Orange. DANZIG and MINISTRY are confirmed to perform on Saturday, May 27 of the “Blackest Of The Black” festival. The two-day event will feature over 20 artists as seen below and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES will headline Friday, May 26.

This is not just a mere music festival, however. This event is going to have 20 “evil attractions” including rides, games, a freak show, an oversized Oujia Board game, and more. There will also be features such as “Castle Danzig,” a haunted house-type exhibit, and a comic-con type area. As some may know, Danzig is a collector of comic book art and has in the past had a booth at WonderCon in Anaheim to showcase and sell art. Camping is also available making for some non-stop horror and music fun.

The “Blackest Of The Black” festival will feature performances by the following bands:

Friday, May 26:

SUICIDAL TENDENCIES
CORROSION OF CONFORMITY
SUICIDE SILENCE
DISCHARGE
BELPHEGOR
BUTCHER BABIES
3TEETH

Saturday, May 27:
