Chilling Adventures of Sabrina #4 Review

Publisher: Archie Comic Publications

Writer: Roberto Aguirre Sacasa

Artist: Robert Hack

Rating: 9 out of 10

Synopsis: Hell hath no fury! It’s Sabrina in the underworld as she and her companions risk everything – including their immortal souls – to rescue Harvey’s consciousness, trapped in the Dark Pit. Meanwhile, with Greendale’s most powerful witch missing in action, Madame Satan launches an attack on the Spellman household, but Hilda and Zelda are not helpless, and then of course there’s Cousin Ambrose to contend with!

Our Thoughts: In my opinion, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is the one of the best horror comic series going today with each issue better than the next. In Sabrina #4, we see the true cruelty of the witches which is portrayed with all the gory details horror comic fans love.  This is NOT your parents Archie style comic.

With the cliffhanger that was left by the previous issue, we couldn’t wait to get our hands on the follow up, and it doesn’t disappoint. Sacasa continues to maintain the interest of the reader, with Hack’s imagery just as brutal and engaging as the story. The variant cover by Hack is a great tribute to a classic as well. If you love horror comics from the Warren Publishing years, you won’t want to miss this title!

Sabrina #4 is out July 29th.
