“People, let me tell you ’bout my best friend.” The official trailer for Orion’s Child’s Play remake has arrived bringing with it technology and terror. The one-minute trailer gives us a short glimpse of what to expect as parents rush to buy the hottest toy for their children, the Buddi doll.
Directed by Lars Klevberg, Child’s Play stars Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree Henry, Gabriel Bateman, David Lewis, Ty Consiglio, and Beatrice Kitsos.
The official synopsis for the film reads:
A mother gives her son a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.
While the trailer did provide us with some details, we have yet to see how the doll moves and hear the voice. Also, the trailer leaves you to wonder if it is just one doll causing all this chaos (Chucky) or perhaps a batch of Buddi dolls doing evil. It seems that we may have to wait and see in order to learn more.
Child’s Play is set to wreak havoc in theaters on June 21, 2019. Stay tuned to Horror News Network for more.
