Check Out the New Trailer for Blade Runner 2049

Warner Bros. Pictures have unveiled the first trailer for the hotly anticipated Blade Runner 2049. A direct sequel to the Ridley Scott masterpiece, Blade Runner, the film will star Ryan Gosling with Harrison Ford returning to the iconic role of Rick Deckard.

Based on the novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, by Philip K. Dick, Blade Runner is one of the most original and iconic R-rated films ever to explore the complexities of a not-so-distant dystopian future. Hauntingly beautiful, and sometimes utterly horrific, the film influenced many science fiction and horror stories that have come since.

The new film will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, the director of recent hits Sicario and Arrival. Hampton Fancher, the writer of the original film, has returned to work on the script for the sequel. If it’s half as good as the original, we’re in for a treat!

Blade Runner 2049 it set to hit theaters on October 6th, 2017. Stay tuned to Horror News Network for more Blade Runner news as it breaks.
