Dementia 13, The Terror and Poor Pretty Eddie on Blu-Ray

Film Chest has announced plans to release these horror movieson Blu-Ray, all remastered to HD for the first time. Poor Pretty Eddie is classic “hicksploitation” about a woman whose car breaks down on a road trip, leaving her at the mercy of a creepy mechanic, pervy sheriff, Elvis impersonator, and a motel owner named Bertha (have you ever met a normal Bertha?). The flick has surprising star power: Leslie Uggams (Roots), Shelley Winters (A Place in the Sun), Slim Pickens (The Howling), and Ted Cassidy (The Munsters). Dementia 13 was considered Francis Ford Coppola’s first legitimate, mainstream film, even though it was produced by perennial B-movie god, Roger Corman. In it, a young widow hides her husband’s sudden death in hopes of being written into her wealthy mother-in-law’s will. To win favor, she travels to Ireland to partake in a bizarre family ritual, and discovers a killer picking off would-be heirs. The Terror, stars Jack Nicholson as an 18th century French lieutenant. When separated from his company, he gets caught up in the dark, evil games of a witch bent on driving a Baron to suicide. Boris Karloff also stars. All three films will be individually released on DVD/Blu-Ray combo pack on April 26th.
