Brad Dourif To Reprise His Role In ‘Chucky’

by Rob Caprilozzi

It’s finally official. Brad Dourif will reprise his role as the psychotic titular character in the upcoming Syfy and USA Network series Chucky.

According to Deadline, the new series will center around a vintage Chucky doll that turns up at a suburban yard sale and plunges an idyllic American town into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.

Less than a week ago we reported that Child’s Play creator Don Mancini confirmed the new series will appear on both channels. A short teaser channel also accompanied that announcement.

In addition to becoming a horror icon in his Child’s Play role, Dourif appeared in a ton of other Hollywood films including One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Dune, Mississippi Burning,  Jungle Fever, Alien Resurrection, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Halloween (2007) and its sequel Halloween II.
