Aubrey Plaza & Bill Murray Spoof ‘The Lighthouse’ for Film Independent Spirit Awards

Robert Eggers’ The Lighthouse has received a tidal wave of praise this award’s season, but nothing shows appreciation more than a good ole’ fashioned parody!

Aubrey Plaza (the host of the 35th Annual Film Independent Spirit Awards) and Bill Murray assume the unique personas of  Ephraim and Thomas in a promo spot for the awards show, airing on February 8 at 5:00 pm on IFC.

The Lighthouse leads the way with five nominations for Best Director, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Male Lead and Best Supporting Male awards for  Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe, respectively.

The Lighthouse also took home the top spot in HNN’s very own awards presentation this year as the Best Horror Film of 2019.

Be sure to tune in to see if The Lighthouse shines at the Film Independent Spirit Awards this Saturday.
