‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ Weekly Wrap Up – “She Gets Revenge”
By Lynn Sorel
Synopsis: Alex enlists John’s help in containing an outbreak; Donovan learns The Countess’ true intentions; Liz and Iris plan to leave the hotel for good.
Our Thoughts: Tonight, Liz Taylor almost makes an eternal mistake, however Iris stops her and convinces her to tie up the loose ends of her unfinished business before ending it all.
John continues with his bloody work and has one more act to commit to finish March’s masterpiece.
Donovan and the Countess put an end to their greatest threats.
Alex and John have an honest conversation for once, and Alex explains the mess she got them into. If she doesn’t take care of it, the Countess will put an end to her and Holden. As expected, John agrees to help.
The Countess files a police report about on her missing husband Will Drake, whom she locked up last episode and Ramona ate, when his ghost shows up.
Alex and John bring the pack of vampire children to the hotel and lock them in the abandoned hallway with Ramona. The rekindle their romance, much to the dismay of Sally.
Liz makes things right with her son, resulting in her backing out of their plan to kill themselves. Liz manages to talk Iris out of it as well, convincing her that the best is yet to come.
Donovan admits what he did to the Countess, breaking her heart, if that’s possible. She finds her beloved dead and returns to take her revenge on Donovan. In the midst of a touching moment, the most unexpected shit goes down. That’s the only way I can describe it. It has to be seen to be believed. I could not help but laugh out loud. I’m not certain it was supposed to be that funny, but I certainly enjoyed it.
I can’t even imagine what is going to happen after that ending. However, we have a few more episodes to go. ‘Hotel’ returns January 6 and Gabourey Sidibe (Coven) will be checking in. Your guess is as good as mine as to what happens next. Will John complete March’s work? Will Sally kill him? Are Donovan and the Countess stuck in the hotel for all of eternity now too? See you in 2016!
