A24 Releases Trailer for Robert Eggers’ ‘The Lighthouse’

After bursting onto the scene in 2015 with his phenomenal debut, The Witch, writer/director Robert Eggers was rumored to be working on several potential projects before finally settling on his sophomore project. Filmed in black and white and offered up in a claustrophobic 4:3 aspect ratio, The Lighthouse offers all of the period dread and paranoia audiences have grown to expect from Eggers.

A24 have finally begun to promote The Lighthouse, and the film is accompanied by such taglines as, “There is enchantment in the light” and “Keepin secrets, are ye?”. The studio’s official Twitter describes the movie as, “A nautical tale of madness and dread, soaked in filthy glee, starring Willem Dafoe & Robert Pattinson.”

The Lighthouse will debut in theaters on October 18th, 2019. Stay tuned to Horror News Network for complete coverage of this exciting project as soon as it breaks!

One of his largest works on the topic is a study on the portrayals of people with disabilities in horror films.
