‘Kill or Be Killed’ Film Adaptation Gets Director

Kill or Be Killed, a comic book from Winter Soldier creator Ed Brubaker, is making its way to the big screen with John Wick director Chad Stahelski behind the camera.

Teaming back up with Wick producer Basil Iwanyk, Stahelski, also a stunt coordinator, put his knowledge of action to use with the 2014 breakout hit starring Keanu Reeves. He followed up with 2017’s John Wick: Chapter Two and is currently in pre-production on John Wick: Chapter Three. The remake of The Highlander is also on his directorial slate. Fans of AMC’s hit show The Walking Dead are used to surprises from the show’s writers. Whether it be a big death, a sudden disappearance, or even a reappearance, Scott Gimple and gang are known to throw the audience a curveball from time-to-time. So the big reveal to come out of last Sunday’s season 8 mid-season finale, while certainly shocking, was expected by viewers who knew something was coming but had no idea to whom. Chandler Rigg’s Father Says He “Never Trusted” ‘The Walking Dead’s’ Scott Gimple or AMC

Many fans were shocked, annoyed, and dumbfounded when they witnessed Rick Grimes son Carl facing down his doom at the end of the mid-season finale of the Walking Dead this past Sunday, leaving viewers with yet another melodramatic cliffhanger involving Carl, and what appears to be a zombie chomp on his belly.

Guillermo del Toro’s Next Movies for Fox Searchlight Include ‘Antlers’ and ‘Nightmare Alley’

The Shape of Water hasn’t even reached its wide release in theaters, and Guillermo del Toro already has two new pictures lined up for Fox Searchlight! Hot off of the tremendous buzz and early awards season whispers for del Toro’s latest film, Variety reports that the incredible producer/writer/director plans to continue working with the studio on a movie called Antlers and a remake of 1947’s Nightmare Alley.

Antlers will be produced by Guillermo del Toro, and the studio is currently in talks with Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart, Out of the Furnace, Black Mass) to direct. The film is described as a supernatural story about a young teacher and a troubled student. The script was written by  Henry Chaisson  and Nick Antosca (Hannibal, Channel Zero, The Forest) based off the short story “The Quiet Boy” by Antosca. read more

AMC Reveals Starting Date and Trailer for Arctic Horror Story ‘The Terror’

AMC has announced the debut date for the arctic horror story The Terror, based on the Dan Simmons’ novel of the same nameThe Terror comes from executive producers Ridley Scott, David Kajganich and Soo Hugh and will open with a two-hour premiere on Monday March 26th at 9:00 p.m.

According to the official press release, the story was inspired by true events and follows “…the Royal Navy’s perilous voyage into unchartered territory as the crew attempts to discover the Northwest Passage. Faced with treacherous conditions, limited resources, dwindling hope and fear of the unknown, the crew is pushed to the brink of extinction. Frozen, isolated and stuck at the end of the earth, The Terror highlights all that can go wrong when a group of men, desperate to survive, struggle not only with the elements, but with each other.” read more

New ‘Death Stranding’ Trailer Debuts at The Game Awards 2017

At the recent The Game Awards 2017 in Los Angeles, Hideo Kojima and the team at Kojima Productions released an eight-minute trailer for the highly anticipated Death Stranding video game.  The trailer opens with the main character, played by The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus waking up on the ground in the middle of a rainstorm. As he pulls himself to his feet we see that him and his fellow crew members have perhaps crashed on what could be another planet.  Tension mounts as the viewer sees mysterious enemies taking the lives of his fellow travelers. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Gets First Trailer

Universal Pictures has released the first official trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, featuring the return of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

A franchise going on 25 years, the Jurassic film series returns in 2018 with its fifth entry and many familiar faces coming with it.

Stars Pratt and Howard are returning alongside executive producers Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow for Fallen Kingdom. The two leads  are joined by co-stars James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones and Rafe Spall. BD Wong and Jeff Goldblum reprise their roles as Henry Wu and Ian Malcolm respectively. read more

“Are You Afraid of the Dark” Gets a Release Date

Most horror fans will remember the Nickelodeon show from the early-to-mid 90’s, Are You Afraid of the Dark. A group of teens who referred to themselves as “The Midnight Society” would meet up in the woods and each week one would tell a different scary story by starting off with, “submitted for the approval of The Midnight Society, I call this story…”.

Well on October 11, 2019 Paramount will deliver their feature-length version of the well-loved series. The story is being written by Gary Dauberman, most recently known for co-writing the massive success film It as well as Anabelle and Anabelle:Creation. read more

‘Night of the Living Dead’ VR Experience Coming in 2018

Variety is reporting that George Romero’s seminal zombie film, Night of the Living Dead, will be receiving a virtual update by Los Angeles-based VR company Supersphere for a 2018 release.

Supersphere partner and executive producer Doug Allenstein stated that “Night of the Living Dead is one of those films that has become a cultural touchstone; it revolutionized the horror genre and to this day it influences how we envision zombies.  We’re thrilled to be working with the team at Image Ten to now expand that franchise to the next generation of storytelling: virtual reality.” read more

Netflix Releases Full Trailer and Premiere Date for ‘Black Mirror’ Season 4

After a steady trickle of teaser clips for upcoming individual episodes, Neflix has gone whole hog this morning with a full trailer for Black Mirror Season Four. In addition, the popular streaming network announced that fans can begin watching the new season in its entirety on December 29th… just three weeks from Friday!

The new trailer contains some new footage from some of the episodes which have previously been given their own mini-trailers, but the majority of the new material is from other episodes in the season. There are a couple of interesting scenes from “USS Callister,” an episode which appears to draw some of its influences from the Star Trek franchise. You can watch the entire clip below: read more
