Kevin Bacon ‘Tremors’ TV Reboot Coming

The 1990 cult classic ‘Tremors’ is getting a TV reboot from Universal Cable Productions and Blumhouse. Kevin Bacon will reprise his role and is also executive producing.  Andrew Miller is writing the adaptation.

Bacon, who only starred in the original film, will be returning to the role of Valentine McKee and the town of Perfection 25 years later. The original film about giant man-eating worms spawned four direct-to-video sequels an a TV spinoff called ‘Tremors: The Series’ that only aired for one season. read more

‘JeruZalem’ Gets U.S. Release, Plus Trailer

The biblical horror film ‘JeruZalem’ is hitting theaters in the U.S. and VOD January 22.   Epic Pictures financed the film and is releasing it in the states.    The story centers around two American girls who vacation in Jersusalem and meet a mysterious anthropology student while there partying.   Things take a serious turn when a biblical prophecy comes true during Yom Kippur. It opens up the gates to hell and unleashes the Apocalypse and the three must find a way to survive as the world is ending.  The film stars  Yael Grobglas (Jane the Virgin), Danielle Jadelyn and Yon Tumarkin. read more

Horror News Network: How did the idea for the Itty Bitty Hellboy comic come about as well as your current relationship with Dark Horse Comics?

Art Baltazar: AW YEAH!! The plans for Itty Bitty Hellboy started with an email from Dark Horse’s Elisabeth Allie asking us if we were interested in making an ALL AGES Hellboy comic. Mike Mignola was interested in making something for his convention table that he can sell to kids. So, Mrs. Mignola contacted Mrs. Allie (the wife of DH’s Editor In Chief) and she contacted us. Simple and effective. Franco and I were skyping at the time we received the email. We responded with a yes in less than 3 seconds. read more
