Dark Shadows figures interview with Rick Phares

Let me in -vampire GN from Dark horse announced

Let me in graphic novel

Dark Horse Comics and Exclusive Media Group’s Hammer Films announced today they are partnering to create a series of co-branded original graphic novels and and comic books. Their first collaboration will be inspired by Hammer Films’ upcoming suspense thriller Let Me In. The film, based on the 2008 widely acclaimed Tomas Alfredson directed Swedish film Lat den ratte komma in a.k.a. Let the Right One In, is being produced by the legendary British film brand Hammer Films, and written and directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield). While the storyline of the companion graphic novel is being kept under wraps, Dark Horse Comics and writer Marc Andreyko (Manhunter, Predators) are working with Hammer to create a chilling and exciting comic that will incorporate some of the film’s characters and mythology with some fresh themes. The Let Me In graphic novel will be distributed in stores in conjunction with its theatrical release from Overture Films in October 2010.

Beasts of Burden/Hellboy crossover

Beasts of Burden Hellboy

Evan Dorkin and Jill Thompson’s acclaimed “Beasts of Burden” is set to return with a very special guest star. Dark Horse will publish a “Beasts of Burden/Hellboy” one-shot crossover, in which the magic-wielding pets of Burden Hill meet up with with Mike Mignola’s demonic hero. The one-shot, which does not yet have a release date, will be written by Dorkin with painted art by Thompson, with covers by Thompson and Mignola. A hardcover of the first Eisner-nominated “Beasts of Burden” miniseries – plus the earlier Eisner-winning short stories – is due out in July. CBR News caught up with Thompson and editor Scott Allie at the Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo to discuss the crossover, and, soon after, Dorkin offered his own thoughts on “Beasts/Hellboy” by phone.
